About Me
Composer, Teacher, BrotherBenjamin (Benne) Lindley (b. 2004) is currently a junior studying music education and composition at Texas Christian University. Since joining band in middle school, Benne’s passion for sharing himself through music has continued to drive him to new heights. Benne looks for every opportunity to perform and share his music with the world and aims to infuse his gentle and loving personality with his proficient music studies in all aspects of his music creation.
Benne primarily writes and arranges music for chamber groups and has experience studying and writing for symphonic band and orchestra. Much of Benne’s music has been performed live at TCU Composition recitals.
Benne graduated Valedictorian of his high school in Brock, Texas, in 2023. He currently studies tuba performance under Dr. Clay Garett, music education under Dr. Laura Singletary and Mr. Brain Youngblood, and composition under Dr. Till Meyn and Dr. Martin Blessinger. He has performed in many TCU music ensembles, including the TCU Symphonic Brass, TCU Symphonic Band, TCU Tuba-Euphonium Ensemble, and the TCU Horned Frog Marching Band. Since beginning on his instrument in 2019, Benne has won numerous awards for his tuba playing and passion for music. In addition, Benne is actively involved in many student organizations at TCU. He is an active brother of service fraternity Kappa Kappa Psi, sits as Vice President of the Tuba-Euphonium Society and as Coordinating Officer of the Society of Composers at TCU, and is actively involved in the Music Educator Organization, among others, all while being named on the Dean’s List and as a “Horned Frog Scholar” (maintaining a 4.0 GPA) multiple times.
